| ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!! sure he had a great regular season and thats what the award is based on. BUT GOT BOMBED IN THE PLAYOFFS BY THE SOX EVEN WHEN HE HAD A CHANCE TO CLINCH THE SERIES FOR CLE. Also not to mention josh beckett won 20 games and had an ERA under 2 in the playofs.Whlie CC looked like a 10 year old on the mound. im sure Beckett doesnt really care. WS Champ he now has 2 rings and ALCS MVP. But wow voters WOW..... And dont give me the bs about the run support. Not Beckett's fault his team could hit for him |

| They voted before the Postseason, otherwise Beckett would have been CY Young.
NEW YORK -- C.C. Sabathia won the AL Cy Young Award on Tuesday, beating out several worthy contenders by a comfortable margin and becoming the first Cleveland pitcher in 35 years to earn the honor.
AL Cy Young Voting C.C. Sabathia, who pitched a major league-high 241 innings and won 19 games for the Indians, comfortably beat Josh Beckett to win his first Cy Young award.
The Indians ace received 19 of 28 first-place votes and finished with 119points in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Boston's Josh Beckett was second with eight first-place votes and 86 points, while John Lackey of the Los Angeles Angels got the other first-place vote and came in third.
Sabathia went 19-7 with a 3.21 ERA and 209 strikeouts, pitching a major league-high 241 innings. Beckett (20-7) became the only big league pitcher to win 20 games since 2005, compiling a 3.27 ERA in 200 2-3 innings. Lackey led the AL in ERA at 3.01, going 19-9 and tossing 224 innings.
Voting took place before the postseason, when Sabathia struggled while Beckett pitched the Red Sox to a World Series championship with a string of dominant outings.
Sabathia became the first Indians pitcher to win the award since Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry in 1972. |

| BULLSHIT!! Sabathia had a good season but beckett was dominant. the voters hate the red sox. thats why Rice isn't a hall of famer. it all comes down to this. the sox are still the champs. |

| Sabathia had better numbers than Beckett and threw 40 MORE innings. Thats around 25% more innings than JB.
And over a full season .5 runs per outing is HUGE. |

LoL just proving my point the innings pitched
Maybe you forgot that Josh had a blister problem that caused him to miss 2 starts... He coulda got 22 wins or had more Ks
And doesnt mean shit with the the half a run difference in run support... its the ERA which was close between both of them
to make a long story short... Beckett didnt get robbed, it coulda went either way.... but im mad that the there was a large differential between C.C and Beckett
And fuck the New York writers they all voted Beckett 3rd.... Boston writers should all vote Gay-Rod 3rd cuz of that |

| uh hellllo.. ichiro shouldnt have even gotten votes. he wasn't a rookie... duh! and if you have played baseball it takes a little more pressure off the pitcher if his team is scoring more runs.. |
