| i was searching on youtube for michael irvin highlights which sadly hardly any videos showcasing him and i found this. where does this rank on the all time amazing/unbelievable catches? just wondering what everyone's opinion on this was

He later suffered a complete fracture of both major bones (tibia and fibula) of the lower leg against the University of Floridaon October 1, 2005, ending his junior season. Despite extensive rehabilitation and three separate surgeries, Prothro was unable to resume his football career. On 03 August 2007, he was placed on a medical hardship scholarship and taken off the football roster with coach Nick Saban saying there was no way Prothro could play again.[2]
Prior to the 2005 season, Prothro was named First-Team All-SEC. In 2004, he was named Second-Team All-SEC.
Before college, Prothro attended Cleburne County High School, where he played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, among other positions. In his high school career, Prothro accounted for 8,099 career all-purpose yards, which stands as the third-highest total in Alabama high school football history |

| I watched him make that catch and get injured I was in the hospital when he got injured he was one of my fav. college wrs during that time but i didnt know his injury was that bad |

| one of the best catches i've ever seen but i was watching a show one day with the top touchdowns of all time and their was this wicked sick catch but i forgot who made it |

its the same clip the whole time and if he woulda caught it the first time he wouldnt of had to do that. still pretty nice though |

| prothros was great but what about others. i made this thread so we could discuss all the dif catches we may have caught over the years so does anyone have any others? if so then please post videos. also i have this best damn sports show period top 50 football plays if anyone is interested i could upload it on megaupload or somewhere |

this one time in my backyard. we were playin footyball and i jumped caught it, my friend knocked it out of my hands though and i caught it between my knees. it was hella nice |

| Today we were playing arena football in the gym. And i went out for a pass in like the corner by the wall which was the back of the endzone and the bleachers......... dude threw it up to me and some kid tipped it and it bounced off the bleachers..... i dove and the ball hit me in my nose and i caught it. For Da TD! |
