How do you stop Spectacular Catch receivers when the qb drops back and throws a high bullet?

I always switch to my guy to user it but i can't get good animations and the receiver just jumps over me and catches it.

Even when i double team they still catch it.

How do i stop it?

With Bob Sanders and a Hit Stick.

you can just take their legs out from under them alot of the time by pressing down on the right stick. they will drop it, but you cant stop everything

Ur never gonna stop a jetpack...ever...only thing to do is get to the QB before he throws it. u could tripple team him but it will leave a hole in the middle of the field. i recommend the following
1. huge blitzes
2. Quarter 3 Deep. Double Z, control inside corner and just run into the spec catch receiver before he throws it.

another way to stop it that i doubt you guys have thought of, is putting a specatcular catch WR as your CB or safety......... you can defensive jetpack to ya know.

and i hate that if u put ur spec catch rec on d that u can't have them on o

u no how u stop it... well if u if turn into someone near the wr in time u can hold straft and triangle and both CB n WR will go up for the ball and have a mid air collision and a possible drop, works great for me.

o ok..i just have to practice this and see what works for me cuz that spec catch shit bugs me.

i am still winning but this shit makes the games close.

i just double him, spotlight him, and control the safety and go for the pick.

it works sometimes.

I dunno i always stop it just using a big hitter such as a dawkins, harrison, or williams and take their legs out. Some times they get injured and rarely drop the ball.

Thank god theres not 2 spec recievers on 1 team in madden.

chambers but they have no other spectaculer recievers just an alright one unless you are talking about gates, who isn't a deep threat
