| Cubs are looking to acquire Jake Peavy Dodgers offer Manny a 2 year deal with an option for a third that will give him the second highest contract in history (doing this from memory so I could be wrong) looks like the cubs are still trying to take the new york yankees approach to baseball which worked REALLY well for the yankees  |

it got them 26 world series championships so it actually has worked out real well for them. |
no.. when they were winning world series is when they brought up farm stars such as jeter, rivera, pettite, posada, bernie williams etc |
that is only 3 of their 26
but in that span they still traded for and signed big name players
such as Clemens, Boggs, O' Neill, Martinez, Gooden, Nelson, Cone, Wells, Strawberry, Knoblauch, Raines, etc |

in modern times, this would be the best ever, at least in my opinon, but...i hate giving up alot of our farm system. |

well hes only 22 so he will learn to keep the ball down and they said he will start at AA and move his way up. they said he would love to play in Boston and idolizes matsuzaka |
