Without sufficient zone blitzes, you will be beaten. Use 3-4 formations to find an effective amount of great zone blitzes...However, you may want to play a bend but dont break D.Come out in a great passing defense. Wait for your opponent to pass and you will most likely stop it.

Whats the sense of this post? There's nothing useful to use except for "come out in a great passing play". What do you consider a great passing play. I mean you have cover 3's which attempt to stop corner routes, but vuln on those slot cross or TE cross routes. Then a cover 2, which is good for flats, but very vuln to a deep ball. Or you can run man all game which is garbage on those lil 10 yard curl routes.

You're best bet is not to just have zone blitz, but a man/zone blitz. Gotta have a lb or two holding man, with a db/fs blitzing..(don't be scared to bring the FS more to the line) the rest zones other wise those cross routes again will murk people. Also combined with somewhat decent stick skills...

To stop runs, alot of DE/LB contains/spy's work grand on those. No need to blitz all out to stop em.

Consider looking for plays that you can audible down from. I like to go from any 4-6 play to any cover 3.. seems to have effective coverage. A gap blitzes seem to work better when your oppenent is in a gun formation, as the line AI is looking to provide pocket presence for your QB, you'll see gaps open bigger.. Also when your sendling your LB's on a blitz it's always good to blitz twice with rb and rs down. You'll see the blitz angles change from somewhat angled to a straight bull rush blitz..

Try to use your commit more often as well. Seems to be more of a timing thing this year to see effectiveness on a run commit.

And last of all don't forget to spotlight on every play. It increases your odd's instead of not spotlighting on every down. remember who your oppenents go to guy is on certain downs.. Not many people think out side the box when under pressure they tend to stick with their "bread and butter". Hope some of this is useful.

No offense... but I don't agree with anything you just said.

Cover 3 can stop crossing routes by controlling a yellow zone LBer.

If someone is running on you... contains and spys are the last t6hing you want to do. FB Dives... HB Dives... Sneaks... any run up the middle > contains...

Ill edit this post tonight and explain why the rest fo your post is wrong too.
