I just pick up Madden a wk ago and i been pretty good in previous Maddens. My question is how do u stop DIGGS, for those of u who dont know football terminology: 5yd -20yd in-routes.

I usually control my MLB in a zone and roam with him if my opponent keeps doing ins and slants.

Depending on what defense you are in, try playing a 2 Man Under and spy one of the safeties. So atleast you have one person dropping back and the spy to watch the underneath rourtes like the dig route or post.

ya just use cover 3 zone and tell ur LB's to zone coverage and press coverage and pinch ur line in case of a run

Pinch line in case of a run?? Are you jokin... A Peterson will murder you with a toss. Seeing as a cover 3 doesn't really hit the flats a fast back will hit the sideline quick, unless you run commit.

In routes, I like to put a DE in spy and press coverage. Look for some 2 man unders with a spy or two. Reason for a DE spy, is your oppenent is looking to rocket that ball in for the IN route not a lob so your DE should be able to slap or just congest the middle of the field for those particular routes.
