    You have to realize at that time, winning the Gold Medal was not a big deal because we were always expected to win it. You can ask any NBA American player which they would prefer and I would bet the majority would say a NBA Championship.

    Heck, I know for a fact that Gary Payton before winning it all in 2006 with the Heat said he would give up both his Gold Medals for a Ring (He said it when he was on the BEst Damn Sports Show interviewing Andrew Bogut)

    Garnett had to save himself for the off-season and rest his body. I know he was still young at the time but he really wants to win.

    And also if you call Garnett a pussy for not playing then you have to say that about alot of player for declining an invite.
