2B are usually versatile
and can be taught in the farm system how to play a position that would benefit the big club, prolly 3B for the Phillies

He could be good one day, but the Phillies dont have room for him. The Phillies need pitching and Blanton is a good young pitcher. |

Cardenas will be much better than Feliz and Blanton is just a guy who will eat up innings. He isnt rich harden or cc sabathia so idk why u give up highly sought after prospects that could land u a better pitcher,
idk seems like a consolation prize to me after the cubs and brewers got good pitchers and the Phillies will be battling them for the wildcard
I do think Philly has to make another move cuz they have to realize Blanton isnt gonna be a great help to win the division or wildcard |

| the A's look like geniuses...ive seen blanton pitch and hes nothing spectacular but y blanton....there was so many other choices......burnett, bedard, ....but blanton??? for 2 of there top 5 prospects??????? i mean, wow
u got the brewers getting CC sabathia
u got the cubs getting harden
and the phillies getting blanton?? how the hell are the phillies going to compete with the cubs and brewers rotation wen they pick up a 4,5 starter |

how the hell are the phillies going to compete with an average to below average pitcher compared to this big pickups by the laeding NL contenders....it doesnt make sense that they traded 2 of their top 5 prospects wen they could of don that and got some1 much better. |

| The Phillies will compete with Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. It's not like their team got any worse. They just didn't get much better.
Other rumors say that the Phillies are going after fuetes and holliday in a package for about 4 or 5 minor leaers but money will probaly be n issue their |

| y the hell would colorado trade holliday right now??? he is still relatively young and its not like the rockies are completely out of it, they were farther back last yaer wen they made their run....fuentes may be traded because they could live without him and if they dont make a run...they still have prospects to show for it....i can almost guarantee u that holliday will not get traded |
