| LMFAO that anybody thinks there is a worse SS than Julio Lugo
Lugo is what I like to call a 5 tool fool
he cant hit for contact
he cant hit for power
he cant throw accurate
he cant field well
his speed is useless cuz he cant get on base
at no way is he vaueble in any aspect besides a pinch runner
Khalil Greene sounds like a blessing compared to Lugo, i wish we could have any of the prior SS in the last 5 years
Nomar, Cabrera, Renteria, Gonzalez
i do feel good about Jed Lowrie, I think he can be very valueable to this clubs success |

no I didnt
he played 2B, he played SS for a little bit when Nomar got hurt in 04, but then we traded Nomar for OC, Roberts, and Dougie
and then later in the season they started Mark Bellhorn over him and the brought in Pokey as a defensive replacement in the 9th
but id take him RIGHT NOW too over Lugo to play SS |

In the NL his ERA will go down, and with the Phillies offense his record will be better
but still they shouldnt have made this deal because this still doesnt make them better than the Mets and those prospects could make them them the best team in a few years
On a side note:
Yankees agreed to a deal with Richie Sexson
i think it was a great deal for NY cuz he will only be in the lineup vs left handers who he hits well

| well their #2 prospect was a 2B. He will never get a chance to shine in philly with Chase Utley there.
I like the trade because obviously, the Phillies are a contender this year. Blanton is definitely an improvement over Adam Eaton. |
