Celtics or Lakers

They have played 10 NBA finals against eachother. Celtics are 8-2 during them. I think the celtics beat the Lakers In both of their regular season games against eachother. This is gunna be a fun one.

both those games they won was w/o Pau Gasol so u can throw those out the window

Key Matchup: Kobe vs. Pierce

both the captains and the catalysts of their offense

i just feel the celtics will be much hungrier...
i mean who do u think wants it more a future HOF Kobe who has 3 rings or 3 other HOF who have never won it

i think the nba has been waiting too long (21 years) to see another LA vs BOS Finals.. this is the cream of the crop... 30 ships combined

Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy, Michael Cooper

Celtics known by the names of
Bob Cousy, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, John Havlicek, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, Jo-Jo White, Dennis Johnson, Cedric Maxwell

and now the names of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen will be entered into the rivalry on thursday night

Ok, let me tell you why the lakers will win.

Our 5 is better than the celtics 5. Kobe (who everyone seems to forget is on first team all NBA defensive team) can lock down Pierce. Ray Allen seems to lock himself down, and we can guard KG just like we did TD (leave Pau on him, and when he puts it on the ground bring a double with a guard).

Our bench is also better. Vujacic, Turiaf, Mbenga (solid rebounder and defensive prescence), Ariza, Walton, Farmar. Compared to Leon Powe, Sam Cassell, Eddie House (streakiest player in the NBA), Fat-Ass Davis, and old ass PJ Brown.

There will be a couple key matchups in the starting 5 but i think LA's bench play will take it in the end. And tell me...in the last 7 minutes of Game 5 vs the Spurs...did you NOT see the championship in Kobe's eyes?

I have a good feeling about the celtics in one on one matchups but i can never feel comfortable the way the Lakers can come back and how the Celtics can go on shooting slumps.

The good part is that Allen is back giving the celtics another dimension. I'm pumped for the series.
