Dallas Clark isn't a TE. He's a WR that lines up in the TE position. He is great for the Colts system and could work in other systems if they built it around him but he couldn't be thrown into a traditional offense and be a good player. He doesn't block. IDK if he can block either, because he doesn't.
He'll throw his hands at the guy in front of them or throw his shoulder in them and run upfield. He doesn't engage in a guy and drive. On plays away from him he'll either lay out to make it look like he's trying to cut the guy or run totally upfield. He simply doesn't block. If you call getting in a guys way blocking then call him a TE. I just disagree that he's a TE. He is easily a great player for the colts, but not a TE in my opinion. Thats all it is, my opinion.
Therefore, IMO he is easily a top 5 receiving TE, but nowhere near a top 5 all around TE. |
