Charlotte, N.C.- The Bobcats had their resurgence in the 4th quarter today as they trailed all game, but managed to come back for their 3rd straight victory today over the winless Phoenix Suns (0-4). The Suns had a 8 point lead coming into the 4th quarter and seemed to have all the momentum, until Jason Richardson (the player of the game) stepped up in the 4th quarter for 16 of his 34 points.
Early and often the Suns were pounding the ball inside to Amare Stoudemire, who led all scorers with 39 points, but some lock down defense in the 4th held him to single digits in the final quarter as the Suns struggled to make their shots late.
While the Bobcats made exactly 50% of their non 3 point attempts, they outshot the Suns by 3 shots from the field and took 8 more shots from the line then the Suns (making 12 more though).
All in all this game was a huge one for the undefeated Bobcats as they have now not only come from behind in a big game, but have taken down one of the elite teams from the all-powerful Western Conference.
Next Game ahead: vs the undefeated Pacers (3-0)
