| Charlotte, NC- The Charlotte Bobcats have undergone new management, and hes off to the races with this team. After selecting Kevin Durant in the NBA Draft, new owner "The Missionary" offered the trade of SF W.Herrmann to IND for PF J.O'Neal. Word is still out on whether or not the trade will be accepted but it seems as if the Bobcats problem of having no real center may be solved with the acquisition of O'Neal from Indiana.
Their first game of the year will come against the 1-0 Bucks today at home.
Heres what their lineup is said to be for tonights game at 7:00 EST:
C: Emeka Okafor PF: Kevin Durant SF: W. Herrmann SG: Jason Richardson PG: Raymond Felton

| Game 1/82 vs. FINAL SCORE MIL: 64 CHA: 91 Quarter by Quarter Scoring: TEAM|1ST|2ND|3RD|4TH|FINAL MIL|19|12|19|14|64 CHA|15|33|27|16|91 Player of the Game: Jason Richardson: 14/20 28 Points 2 REB 2 AST 4 STL 24 MIN Other Players: CHAR: Durant: 12 Points, 6/9, 10 REB G. Wallace: 12 Points, 6/10, 5 REB, 12 MIN Okafor: 12 Points, 6/7, 4 REB MIL: Boykins: 25 Points, 8/20, 6 AST, 7 TO Redd: 6 Points, 3/7 Villanueva: 15 Points, 7/11, 8 REB (4OFF) Bogut: 4 Points, 21 MIN, 2/3, 6 REB Charlotte, NC- The Bobcats played their first game of the season today and it would seem as if they ran away with it. The 27 point victory over the now 1-1 Milwaukee Bucks was a great start for the 07-08 season for Charlotte. With a FG % of .620 compared to the Bucks .431, it was easy to see why Charlotte held off the Bucks at their house. Both teams shot weakly to say the least from behind the arc, going a combined 4/29. In other news, only time will tell on the Jermaine ONeal trade offer. While he will cost the team a lot of money if the trade goes through, it will be a crucial part for the team to have a center who can really step in. Step 2 would be to get a nice PG to mentor Raymond Felton. |

| The Bobcats have just been phoned by the league notifying them that they do not have enough Salary Cap space to trade for Jermaine O'Neal.
The Bobcats will continue to look for a true Big Man in the middle and for a mentor at PG for Felton. |

Going into the 4th quarter they were down much of the way after losing an early lead. The game ended with the Heat down by 3 after 2 clutch free throws by Gerald Wallace, followed by a 2 point basket by Corey Brewer with .8 seconds remaining. When questioned why he shot the 2 point basket, Brewer had no comment for the media... The Bobcats now look ahead after winning their first two games to a test coming into town in the form of the Phoenix Suns (0-3). Still looking for their first win, the Suns will definitely be bringing their all against the undefeated Bobcats... FUN FACT: The Bobcats remain as one of only 3 undefeated teams in the Eastern Conference. ( Indiana, Toronto ) |

well if u gonna get a big name u'll have to match salaries obviously... a good veteran point guard to mentor felton would be sam casselll from LA. Im not positive on his salary, but its prob 4 million. I might offer hermann and some1 who has a lesser role on the team who has a 3 million salary like Derek Anderson. |
